Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

CampaignCache ("we", "us", "our") operates the website campaigncache.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account via our authentication provider (WorkOS), we receive and store:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your profile photo (if provided by your login provider)

We do not store passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by WorkOS and third-party identity providers (Google, GitHub, etc.).

Usage Data

We collect standard analytics data including pages visited, referral sources, and general location (country/city level). This data is collected via Google Analytics and is used to understand how people use the site.

Click Data

When you click a link in an archived newsletter, we record the click for analytics purposes (which links are popular, which brands get traffic). Click events are recorded with a hashed IP address and are not associated with your user account.

Followed Brands

If you are logged in, we store which brands you choose to follow in order to provide your personalised dashboard feed and weekly digest emails.

How We Use Your Information

  • Account features: Following brands, personalised dashboard feed, weekly digest emails
  • Email communications: Weekly digest of new newsletters from brands you follow (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Analytics: Understanding site usage to improve the product
  • Affiliate link tracking: Measuring which links in archived newsletters receive clicks

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: For analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie consent banner.
  • Contract: For account creation and providing the service you signed up for (personalised feed, followed brands).
  • Legitimate interest: For operating and improving the service, preventing abuse, and aggregate analytics.

Email Newsletter Content

CampaignCache archives marketing emails sent by brands to a dedicated inbox. We take the following steps to protect privacy:

  • All recipient email addresses are stripped from archived content
  • Unsubscribe links are removed (they would not work for site visitors)
  • Tracking pixels are stripped from archived emails
  • Images are re-hosted on our servers to prevent third-party tracking

The archived newsletter content is publicly viewable. No user personal data is included in the archived emails.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Authentication: Session cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies to measure site traffic. These are only set if you consent via the cookie banner.
  • Preferences: Remembering your cookie consent choice.

You can manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time through your browser settings or by clearing cookies.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

International Data Transfers

Our servers and third-party services may process data outside of your country of residence. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the service providers' standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions as appropriate.

Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted promptly when you delete your account.
  • Followed brands: Deleted when you unfollow a brand or delete your account.
  • Click analytics: Retained for up to 24 months, then automatically purged.
  • Archived newsletter content: Retained indefinitely as part of the public archive. This content is not tied to individual user accounts.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can export your data from your account settings.
  • Rectification: Update or correct your personal data via your account settings.
  • Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data from your account settings, or by contacting us.
  • Data portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format (JSON) from your account settings.
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., analytics cookies), you may withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, use the self-service options in your account settings or contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, CampaignCache complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through this service.

If you believe we have not adequately addressed your data protection concerns, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children's Privacy

CampaignCache is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
